Service Information and Disclaimer
This page is informational. It explains the ordinary risks of salon services and asks you to share information that helps us serve you safely. It is not a release, and it does not ask you to give up any legal right. The formal consent and release for your service is the form you review and sign in person.
At Studio 1 Hair Salon LLC, your safety and comfort come first. This page explains the ordinary risks that come with hair and scalp services so you can make informed choices. Please read it, and please share the information we ask for at your appointment.
Ordinary Risks of Salon Services
Most guests have no problems. Still, hair, color, and chemical services carry some ordinary risks, which can include:
- Sensitive skin or scalp
- Itching or temporary irritation of the skin or scalp
- An allergic or adverse reaction to a product, in some cases
Please Tell Us Before Service
To help us care for you safely, please tell us, in person before your service, about:
- Any allergies or known sensitivities
- Any medications you are taking that affect your skin or scalp
- Any prior reaction to hair color, chemical services, or skin or hair products
- Any scalp or skin condition
We collect this information in person, not through this website. Please do not enter health or allergy details into any form on this site.
Patch Testing
For color and chemical services, we may recommend a patch test before your full service. A patch test helps identify a reaction in advance. Choosing to skip a recommended patch test is your decision, and you understand that skipping it is done at your own risk.
If a Reaction Occurs After Your Service
Most guests have no problems after a hair, color, or chemical service. In the uncommon case that a reaction does occur, it usually shows within about 48 hours of your visit. A reaction can include scalp irritation or itching, and in some cases skin sensitivity, blistering, or welts.
If you notice any of these within this 48-hour window, please contact us promptly at (951) 239-0440 so we can help and talk through next steps. Telling us early, and sharing your allergy and reaction history with us before service, is what helps us take care of you.
We use professional products and take care in how we apply them, and we do not intentionally use any product to cause you harm.
Results
We use professional care and judgment, and we want you to love your hair. Because results depend on your hair and how it responds, we cannot guarantee a specific outcome. We will always talk through what is realistic before we begin.
